Overview

Join me and Marc Adamus with a small group of participants on a 13-day photography workshop in Patagonia, where we'll explore both, the famous Chilean Torres del Paine National Park, and the breathtaking Chilean fjords. During the first week, I will guide you through unforgettable locations in Torres del Paine National Park and surrounding areas. The second week I will co-lead the workshop with Marc Adamus, and we will spend time on a private boat exploring and photographing the Chilean fjords — a truly rare opportunity.

Clothing, and other recommended items:

It's important to note that weather conditions can change rapidly in Patagonia, and it's always better to be over-prepared than under-prepared. The average temperature in April is between 55ºF to 39°F (13°C to 4ºC). You should be prepared for all kinds of weather conditions, and bring warm waterproof and windproof clothing. I recommend bringing at least the following items:

  • Waterproof and windproof jacket
  • Warm base layers, such as long-sleeve shirts and pants
  • Insulated jacket or down vest
  • Fleece or wool sweater
  • Waterproof and windproof pants
  • Warm hat and gloves
  • Sturdy and comfortable hiking (over the ankle) boots with a few pairs of warm socks
  • Sunglasses and sunscreen
  • Hiking poles are not really necessary since our hikes will be very short, but if you have a pair and you think they can help you, please bring a pair as well.
  • Headlamp or flash light.

Visas:

Many countries do not require a visa for entry into Chile, but it's important to check in advance whether you need one before traveling.

Flights:

You should book your flight to Punta Arenas (PUQ), Chile.

Money:

The official currency in Chile is the Chilean Peso (CLP). It's recommended to exchange some money (e.g. $500 dollars) but all major credit cards are accepted.

Meals:

Meals are not included, except for breakfasts at the hotel. Please be prepare to spend about $40 to $50 USD on food a day. All meals on the boat, however, are included.

Electrical Outlets:

In Chile the power plug sockets are of type C. The standard voltage is 220 V and the frequency is 50 Hz. Most laptop and battery charges will work without a need for a converter. All you need is the type C adapter. If you have any questions please contact me and I'll let you know which one to get.

How to Book:

If you're interested in my workshop, and would like to to sign up, please use the contact form HERE

Deposit and Payment:

A deposit of USD $3,000 per person is required to reserve a space on a tour. The remaining balance is due 120 days prior to departure. If you want to sign up for a tour within 120 days of departure, then the full amount will be due at the time of registration.

Important Notice:

Please be aware that the deposit required for my tours is both non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances. Greg Boratyn is thrilled to extend an invitation for you to join him on one of his unforgettable tours. However, he kindly asks that you commit to participation only if you are fully dedicated to the experience. I understand that life can present unexpected challenges, such as accidents, medical diagnoses, natural disasters, urgent surgeries, or family crises. As these unforeseen events are a possibility, I strongly recommend that you purchase travelers insurance to safeguard your investment. Once you enroll in a photo tour or workshop with me, I will promptly send you a form via email, urging you to protect your financial commitment with travel insurance. I will also provide recommendations for several reputable travel insurance companies for your consideration. This added layer of protection ensures that unforeseen circumstances do not jeopardize your opportunity to embark on an incredible photographic journey with me.

Cancellations & Refunds:

On all of Greg Boratyn guided photo tours, my partners, including hotels, transportation companies, and tour operators, require an upfront deposit at the time of booking to secure the desired date. This deposit covers various aspects of the tour, such as reserving hotel accommodations, charter vehicles, and local guides. Typically, this reservation process takes place well in advance, often up to a year ahead.

It's essential to note that these deposits are non-refundable. Your initial deposit, along with the final payment is crucial for me to secure your spot with the vendors I rely on to make the tour a reality. In the unfortunate event that you must cancel your participation for any reason, I can provide a refund only if I can find another participant to take your place.

However, if you find it necessary to cancel within 120 days or less of the tour's departure date, it becomes highly improbable for me to fill the vacant spot with another participant. This is why I strongly encourage all participants to consider investing in travel insurance. This insurance is designed to safeguard your financial commitment to the tour, ensuring that unforeseen circumstances do not jeopardize your investment in this unique photographic experience.

Important Note:

It should be noted that I reserve the right to cancel this photo tour in the event of insufficient registrations not meeting the minimum enrollment requirements. If I am considering a cancellation, I will notify you beforehand. If I do cancel the tour, I will refund 100% of your deposit and any payments made.
